HIGH SCHOOL COMPUTER LABORATORY

The computer laboratories are equipped with the units that are configured for maximum utlization in a school setting. The computers are loaded with licensed Microsoft software and are connected in a network using a powerful server. The student to machine ratio is 1:1. Internet access is also available to students as well as to the faculty.

The high school computer laboratories are housed at the third floor of the Blessed Pedro Calungsod Building while the GS computers are located at the fifth floor of the Pope John PAul II Building.

Features:

  1. Furnished with kitchen utensils and other cooking paraphernalia
  2. A demonstration table is provided for cooking, sewing and carpentry to help the teacher explain the procedures and processes involved.
  3. Tools for carpentry and sewing are also provided to the students.
  4. There is ample space in all laboratories providing the students and the teachers enough room for teaching, demonstration and for working on the projects.
  5. There is a separate room for sewing, practical arts and the kitchen laboratory.

Speech Laboratories

The Speech Laboratory anchors the students' speech recognition task in English. The Speech Lab, which is located on the third floor of the Blessed Pedro Calungsod Building, is equipped with individual booths and headsets. It is a perfect venue for honing the students' communication skills in spoken English. Lessons in the speech lab are focused on the production of sounds, particularly the sounds found difficult by Filipino speakers. These are reinforced through a number of exercises on sound system not only in words but also in sentences and connected speech.

Speech, which is one of the macro language skills, is enhanced in the speech lab through the listening and speaking activities and oral interaction, thus making the students effective communicators.


Science Laboratories

Physics_Lab

The Science Laboratory is constructed according to the specifications and needs of the users.

It is divided into five areas namely: Integrated Science Room, Biology Room, Chemistry Room, Physics Room, Dispensing and Storage Room. Each room has whiteboard, laboratory tables, stool and demonstration tables. The Chemistry laboratory tables are equipped with gas outlet. A shower room is also provided for emergency purposes.

Between the Biology and Chemistry Rooms is the dispensing and storage area for easy transport of the tools and equipment and other materials needed during experimentation. The Science Laboratories provide adequate and sufficient laboratory equipment and consumables. The maintenance and improvement is done by a laboratory custodian. A yearly inventory is conducted by her to determine which materials need replenishment, repair or replacement and request for such.

The Laboratories are well-ventilated. A display cabinet is installed in each room.

The Biology Room serves as the Multimedia room for the science courses. 

The Exhibit room is a place to showcase the best projects of students.

Laboratory activities are designed by the science teachers to develop in the students the interest for science and to fully understand the basic concepts and principles learned from the natural set-up. Skills like observation, data gathering, analysis and interpretation of data, drawing conclusion and handling and manipulating laboratory tools and instruments are developed through these activities. Critical thinking, resourcefulness and environmental awareness are also developed. Thus, student's curiosity is aroused and their sense of inquiry and discovery is magnified by conducting investigatory projects.





Science and Technology, Technology and Livelihood Education, Computer and Speech play very important roles in the teaching and learning process of every student and teacher. This will surely pave the way to a progressive society. It begins with simple laboratory activities that will develop the student's skills in scientific, technological, technical, vocational fields and communication.

The laboratory is a primary source of learning. It provides experiences that gives real meaning to concepts and ides learned in the classroom.

The Science, Technology and Livelihood Education, Computer and Speech laboratories are spacious for demonstration lessons for each course. Equipment and supply materials are provided to enable the students achieve the specific objectives of the school. The laboratories are equipped with a demo table to facilitate lectures and demos conducted by the teachers.

The school maintains separate laboratories for the high school and the grade school.


HS_Sewing_Room

T.L.E. Laboratory

The Technology and Livelihood Education Laboratory is equipped with the needed materials, tools and equipment that will help the students work effectively and efficiently.

The Technological and Livelihood Education laboratory is composed of two kitchen rooms, two dressing rooms, two drafting rooms, one typing room, one electronics room, a practice house, home management room, activity room, and exhibit room. The demonstration rooms are spacious and equipped with demonstration table and mirrors. An exhibit room is provided where the finished projects are properly displayed. A T.LE. laboratory custodian oversees the laboratory facilities. Her main duty is to maintain the upkeep of the entire place. An inventory of facilities and equipment on each of the areas in the T.L.E. laboratories is maintained and reviewed at least twice a year.

The laboratory activities are designed to meet the educational needs of the students.
