True to its vision and mission, Paco Catholic School High School Department aims to produce students that are not only academically competent but also formed according to Catholic Christian values. In view of this, the following programs are offered to assist the students in their preparation for life after high school and beyond.

Regular Academic Program – A four year program based on the Basic Education Curriculum which includes Religion. This program which primarily aims to prepare the graduates for college also contains technical, vocational and technological offerings that will assist and prepare them for life when they cannot pursue a college diploma.

Evening Class Program - A five year formal education program of the school offered as an outreach activity to out-of-school youth, working students and adults.

Summer Program – A program that is primarily intended for PCS students who have failed in their subjects during the regular school year but is likewise offered to students from other schools having the same situation.

Remediation Programs – These are intervention programs designed to assist students in coping with the school’s academic requirements in the different academic subjects.

Enrichment Programs – These are special programs intended to offer students with more creative activities to hone their individual talents and to provide them with more in-depth treatment of Math, Science and English.


OBJECTIVES OF THE HIGH SCHOOL DEPARTMENT


Guided by its Christian Philosophy and institutional objectives, the high school department of Paco Catholic School is deeply committed to the formation of:
  • An educand who gradually acquires a mature sense of responsibility. upholds Christian ideals and puts into good use whatever he has learned in the service of his fellowmen.
  • A student nurtured in an atmosphere of openness where he can freely and effectively exercise his faculty of thought and communicate his ideas to promote solidarity among all.
  • An adolescent who is perceptive of his environment. is able to evaluate and make wise choices, recognize and value the good and the true, and use them to meet his human need.
  • A human person educated in the warmth and experience of Christian love and thus is able to transmit this to the home and rest of humanity.
  • A learner who acquires knowledge and applies skills in the different areas of learning with emphasis on the scientific and technological fields in response to the growing needs and demands of a changing society.
  • A student who is prepared physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and spiritually for higher education.
  • A student equipped with vocational aptitude to enable him to work for a decent livelihood in the event that he is unable to continue his college studies.
  • A student who respects the dignity of labor and upholds self-esteem even if he is unable to pursue higher learning.
  • A person with a taste of the finer things in life, who values and appreciates the arts that enrich the development of a desirable personality.
  • A person who values, protects and preserves his environment, makes use of its resources judiciously for the development of the country and works towards the rehabilitation of our depleted natural resources.
  • A citizen who is proud of his race, appreciates the role our heroes have played in shaping the history of our country and emulates their examples.
