HIGH SCHOOL DEPARTMENT

Admission is a very important task of every school.  It means granting a student applicant entrance to the school with the definite understanding that he, the student and his parents or guardians agree in writing to comply with the scholastic standards of the school as well as the ideals of Christian education and its rules and regulations.

Admission Committee.  Registration is handled by the Admission Committee composed of the Principal, the Guidance Coordinator, Registrar and other members the administration may appoint.  The committee shall take the responsibility of formulating policies concerning admission.

Admission Policies.

  • Priority for admission is given to PCS grade school graduates who qualify through entrance examinations and are recommended by their respective adviser and /or the Principal of the Grade School Department.
  • Only single applicants will be considered for enrolment in all curriculum years. This policy applies in both departments.
  • In case accommodations are available, graduates of other elementary schools may merit admission to PCS through competitive entrance examinations.
  • Foreign students may be admitted upon compliance with all the requirements of the Commission of Immigration, Department of Foreign Affairs, and the Department of Education and provided there is accommodation.

GRADE SCHOOL DEPARTMENT

Old Students

  • Old students must present their card (PCS Form 138) upon payment of fees on enrolment schedule.  These cards are returned to them after the first quarter properly stamped "Used for Admission". 
  • Only upon payment of pertinent tuition and other school fees will a student be considered enrolled.
  • Fees, if paid by installment, should be settled as stipulated in the prospectus and on individual ledger. When a student fails to meet his/her financial obligations, the school may drop him from the roll.
  • If a student drops within the school year he/she has to settle his/her account for the whole year as provided for in the prospectus.

New Grade One Applicants

  • New Grade One applicants are screened and are given dates specified by the grade school.
  • Age Requirements For Grade One -at least 6 to 6-1/2 years old at the opening of the school year.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Birth Certificate
    • Parent's Marriage Certificate
    • Catholic Baptismal Certificates
    • Three I.D. pictures

Transferees

  • Must have an average of 85 or above and no grade lower than 80 in any of the subjects.
  • Conduct grade must be 85 or above or its equivalent.
  • Documents needed are as follows:
  • Original copy of Form 138 (Report Card) duly signed by  the principal
  • Certification of Good Moral Character (Original Copy)
  • Duly accomplished Form 5 (Personal Data Form)
  • Original and Photocopy of the followings:
    • Birth Certificate from NSO
    • Roman Catholic Baptismal Certificate
    • Parents' Marriage Certificate
    • Two (2) 1x1 recent pictures (colored or black and white)
