To provide a venue for performing arts and other presentations, the school put up several audio-visual rooms and auditoriums. They have become the venues by which the students have displayed their artistic and musical talents. Through the years they were the venues for film showings, mini-plays, songfests, quiz shows, musicales, concerts and other productions both home-grown and produced by independents groups. THE JAIME CARDINAL SIN AUDITORIUM This auditorium has a seating capacity of more than 1,000. It is located at the fourth floor of the Jaime Cardinal Sin Building at the corner of Paz and Pedro Gil Streets. The play "Ang Paglilitis ni Mang Serapio" which starred an all-Paconian cast premiered here. It is also home to another home-grown production -- Young Minds Quiz Wiz. The auditorium was also venue of events hosted by the Manila Archdiocesan and Parochial Schools Association (MAPSA) and the Catholic Education Association of the Philippines (CEAP). KAREL HALL This 300-seater mini-auditorium was constructed with the assistance of the friends and relatives from Belgium of Fr. Carlos van Ooteghem, CICM, whose real name is Karel. Orginally located at the Our Lady's Building, it occupied the space where the Multi-purpose Room was. The building was later demolished to give way to the construction of the Pope John Paul II Building and the administration decided to retain it. It is located at the ground floor of the PJPII Building. It is also used as the venue of many parish functions. Fr. Carlos is the last CICM school director. AUDIO-VISUAL ROOMS The audio-visual rooms are located at the third and fourth floors of the Rev. Fr. Godofredo Aldenhuijsen Heritage Center, the former Sacred Heart Building. |
